About me

I’m a musician, DJ, sound designer and educator.

Sound was always a constant in my life. From choir to classical piano, to transcribing musical notation with my grandmothers Nokia 3310, and then holding it up to my mouth to act as a filter.

What followed was years of online learning through trial and error. I cultivated a lot of technical skills relating to sound design, but my experience with songwriting, arrangement and project management was sparse.

While channeling my desire for creativity through music software, I concurrently developed ideas for passing on the knowledge I acquired. While the music teachers around me had interpreted my frustration with the rigidity of classical music as a general apathy towards music and sound, the inverse was true. This question of “how can I help others create?”, is something I’ve been lucky to have the opportunity to nurture through my involvement with the electronic music school Rumkraft.

In early 2018, while studying at Sonic College I made the conscious effort to finish projects and build a strong framework for my creative workflow. I’ve since become very adept at finishing off creative projects, which has yielded several benefits.

First and foremost, I’ve built discipline by finishing music regardless of my emotional investment.

Second, thanks to experience I can now assess how far a given track is from completion.

Third, through the continuous honing of my craft I am gradually finding my artistic voice.
